The BRAIN Initiative Alliance (BIA) is planning an in-person satellite event, Building Tools & Tech for an Innovative Future: A BRAIN Initiative Alliance Social at the 2024 Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting, which will take place October 5-9, 2024, in Chicago, IL.  It will be similar in style to our past in-person satellite events, which have highlighted BRAIN Initiative tools, technology, and theory developers: https://www.braininitiative.org/events/sfn-social/.  For this event, we will incorporate representation across a broad range of tool types, including genetic and chemical tools, optics and microscopy, electrode development, and software and algorithms. This activity is intended to provide an overview on resources and programs that FDA has developed across CBER, CDER, and CDRH that can help academic life-science accelerators and early-stage, oncology-related companies, develop new anticancer-therapeutics, devices, and diagnostics.
