Equity Free Funding for Alaska Innovators: America's Seed Fund is coordinated by the Small Business Administration and funded through 11 participating federal agencies that fund innovations through the SBIR/STTR programs.
Alaska FAST. Alaska FAST, federal and state technology partnership program, was created to increase the number of America’s Seed Fund SBIR/STTR awards for women, socially/economically disadvantaged individuals, and small businesses in Alaska. Free to the community, Alaska Fast is Center ICE's one-stop-shop to prepare for, write, and win an Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant.

  • The NSF Convergence Accelerator, a Directorate for Technology, Innovation and Partnerships or TIP program, has issued a new funding opportunity for three new research track topics aligned to equitable water solutions, chemical sensing applications, and bio-inspired design innovations. These research track topics were selected from the program’s ideation process and are a part of the program’s 2023 cohort. Researchers and innovators have two submission pathways to submit their proposals to this funding opportunity: Solicitation, NSF 23-590, and Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), NSFBAA-23-01.Topics: Track K: Equitable Water Solutions; Track L: Real World Chemical Sensing Applications; Track M: Bio-Inspired Design Innovations. Alaska SBDC Opens Funding Opportunity for Alaska Inventors

The TREND program provides technical assistance and proposal writing instructions to help develop successful commercialization plans. The top five participants of the 2023 TREND Phase 0 Grant Program will be awarded an SBIR Phase 0 grant of up to $10,000. The Alaska SBDC encourages participants to visit the TREND website to begin the SBIR Phase 0 Entry Form.

  • June 1, 2023 - The Phase 0 grant application opens
  • June 30, 2023 - Early application deadline to receive an initial review for application completeness and compliance
  • July 10, 2023 - Phase 0 grant application period closes
  • July 11 - August 13, 2023 - TREND Phase 0 Committee will evaluate the application packets and the winning applicants will be announced during the week of August 13, 2023
  • September, 2023 - Phase 0 grant funds awarded and disbursed
